The Cybermen return

It's been announced that Neil Gaiman's new Who script will feature the return of the Cybermen.

Gaiman has stated that he used to be terrified of the Cybermen, particularly from Moonbase and Tomb. We also know that Smith loves Tomb having been sent it by Moffatt to watch to prepare for the series, and there have been rumours that the CYbermen were going to be redesigned for Moffatt's tenure.

Any speculations at all for this?

And it seems my speculations about a re-design for the Cybermen was somewhat correct...











I have to say, I prefer these to the Cybusmen. They've got a more classic look to the face, more streamlined. Yes, they're a little Iron Man-ish, but I think they look better.

I like design in general. However, they have a very cheap plastic look. The RTD Cybermen looked truly metallic. Age of Steel, and all that. These chaps look like I could sort them out on with a cricket bat.

Although, I am amused by the cyber-bums in the last shot.
